IntroductionSaliva samples were collected from college students studying in the library at three different time intervals throughout the day. The experimental groups were collected between the times of 8:00-10:00 am, 2:00-4:00 pm and 10:00-12:00 pm.
The samples were then ran through an ELISA testing to monitor the presence of IgA per sample. IgA is produced by the immune system when the body is under stress, making it an ideal immunoglobulin to test stress levels. There is a correlation between presence of IgA and stress levels. The higher amount of IgA that is detected in the ELISA plate indicates stress levels are lower. |
