Based upon average values solely, our data suggests that due to morning studiers having lower presence of IgA than the other two experimental groups, that they were the most stressed. More IgA being present indicates that an individual is less stressed, meaning late night studiers were the least stressed out.
When analyzing data from ANOVA, the numbers of most importance are the F-value and the F-crit value. Due to our F-value (1.39) being smaller than the F-crit value (3.12) that indicates that there is not enough variation between the average values of our three experimental groups. Due to this statistical analysis, we fail to deny the null hypothesis which states there would be no significant difference between IgA levels and time of day studying.
Further research could be conducted using much larger sample sizes that may in fact find a correlation between time of day studying and variance of stress levels.
Due to the nature of IgA production during everyday life, it is a possibility that our findings may indicate the variance of IgA production during every day life. Our findings were not significant in determining the most stressful time of day for studious college students, but further implications could allow for people to better understand the fluctuation of the immunoglobulin through everyday life.
